measured breaths

contemplating the preciousness of this life
we have been blessed with

a dear friend
met with an accident last week
and was rushed to hospital.
 the treatment process
showed he had a tumor in his brain.

within hours
the internal bleeding had slowed down his brain activity
and he was declared brain dead.

last night,
in the hospital room
where his unresponsive body
lay breathing because of the machines that supported it
all i could think of
was how measured these breaths are
that we take for granted.

go hold those that you love
and let them know
how they are treasured in the softness of your heart.

I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's accident. Now is all we have ... so much we take for granted.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. :-( Yes, indeed, the breaths of our life right now are few in comparison to what they were intended to be by Jehovah God, but that's why we have to measure out how well we use them. We never know when the last breath will be taken...Death is such an enemy!...The Bible says that good friends are born for when their is distress.

yes what a sad moment...but you see we never really know the joy of leaving a sick body behind and moving on to more exciting worlds, unless we die...and live again. somewhere.
