come have breakfast with us

i had been wanting to make cinnamon rolls
since having had some delicious ones some weeks ago.

i started the dough last night
proving it twice
then rolling out and sprinkling with sugar and cinnamon

rolled up

then cut into slices
they rested in the oven

while we slept

and dreamed away

in the morning, the uncooked rolls had risen
and expanded

baked till golden

then slathered with a sweet glaze

maybe a little heavy handed with the icing,
but hey, they turned out great.

so when are you coming over?

I am always fascinated by people who have cake for breakfast. I wish I could break out of my strict intergenerational habit of two slices of toast and tea. Would you share this recipe with us? These look so delicious.

If only I could! That's a great idea to let them rise overnight.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Wait for me, wait for me! Please save the one with the most icing for me, please?! I would be able to have breakfast with you sweeties today...as I am not at work as planned...because of an accident...but I am okay...but I'd be better if I had a cinnamon bun. Really I would.
