The house is still. All I hear is the faint hum of the air conditioner and the occasional noise of a passing vehicle out on the street.
I am sitting in the children's bedroom, watching them sleep. Em wrapped tightly in her blanket. Hero lying across the bed, on top of his blanket. He's like me that way. While Em sleeps like her father. Buried under the covers, head and all.
Their faces are so angelic as they sleep. So peaceful. It is relaxing to just watch them sleep.
I have reading to do. A presentation to prepare. A pile of laundry to sort. But it can wait. They can all wait.
Tonight, let me savour this moment with my two little angels.

Savor the moment! O yes!
Yes, do that! Time flies and we sometimes fail to seize the moment!
Enjoy your quiet time. It doesn't happen often enough.
No moment is more important.
you made the right choice~
This goes hand in hand with your last post...each moment must be savored before it flies away...My daughters are 32 and 27...and it seems like only yesterday that they were little and snuggling in bed with us...
you are a very wise mama ...
those are the most precious times.
I enjoy these times. Any time I can get to myself I savour. When the house is buzzing with the family I am generally pulled in all directions. Enjoy the moment.
Oh yes savior the moment, they all go by too quickly...
You are so right, savour the moment, and imprint it in your mind. When I watch my kids, especially my 17 year old, sleep, I can still see their baby faces so clearly.
I agree, Kamana, in just the blink of an eye, those angels will be all grown up and you'll so much miss those chances to watch them sleep.
They are angels when they are sleeping!!!!! ha.... BUT---enjoy them now because they'll be grown up and gone too fast!
Hugs,
Betsy

Nothing as calming and peaceful as watching children in repose, at peace and safe in their sleep. I love that you know to treasure the moments as they happen.
Oh Kamana these are some precious stolen moments. Never ever ever forget those. Thanks for sharing.
And this picture is amazing. Go do something with them. Your eye, heart and soul are in them.
