That is sad, Kamana...my middle son, Alex, used to have a tiny stuffed leopard from Dakin that was his most important animal...I bought several of the identical toy because I was terrified he might lose it...he would go to sleep with the tail in his hand, stroking his nose. He wasn't fooled, if I tried to substitute a newer one, he'd ask for "dirty leppie" ( not really dirty but well worn ). When he went off to UC Davis, he actually took dirty leppie along ( all 6'4" of this hulk football player ) - he wanted to make sure I wouldn't toss him out ( as if I would ever ).

suzicate & betsy - i wondered that too, when i first saw him up there on a rooftop, as i drove past the house. who knows?
