Dhiggaa

Hibiscus tiliaceus.
Reminds me:
of endless days spent playing underneath its leafy shade
of swings hanging from its branches
of the many ants that constantly marched along its trunk
of the blooms that changed colour as the day progressed
of happy happy childhood days.

I am learning that there are so many varieties of hibiscus...these are so very beautiful! Childhood memories are such treasures! I have "ant" memories too!

It is wonderful that a simple thing like a flower can send memories rushing back like this.

I agree with Liss. It's great when little things bring to mind sweet memories.

beautiful flowers - lovely memories

The blossoms are so delicate and ruffle-y. They look like they should adorn a couture gown.

Kamana....

Thank you for my "gift of jewels"! I can't seem to find your email address in my list (though I am pretty sure I had it at one time), so I came here to tell you thanks.

The card is lovely and "Live - Love - Laugh" is perfect!

I love hibiscus, too.

This photo is so rich and exquisite that I can smell the hibiscus and grass. Beautiful, as are your words.

Beautiful photograph. The first time I saw a hibiscus and recognized it as such was in Costa Rica. So lovely. Strong looking.
