I adore marbles. I've been digging them out of my garden for years. Don't know who left them. But I'm ever so thankful! I think I've about got them all now. Brenda
Great colourful photos that remind me of my childhood. My son was obsessed with marbles when he was younger and they drove me insane as I was forever finding them scattered all over the house. Now I miss their colour around the place. Thanks for the post and the memories they have stirred :)
I used to collect marbles, now I'm just "losing my marbles".:) Missed a fewposts, but the brownie and the wierd fruit look delicious......wish they imported them so I could try one!!
When I first moved into this old house I would find marbles wherever I dug in my yard ...I saved a beautiful jarful...then when I had little children in the house I got worried about choking and threw the marbles out!! How I wish I never did that!
My sons played Marbles, Kamana. We had an old cigar box filled with marbles---all different colors and sizes... I wonder what ever happened to that box of marbles??? Hope some little kids have it and are playing with them right now!!!!
I was just thinking about marbles the other day! I love how they feel in my hand. when we were kids, we'd set up shooting alleys in our driveway. ah, you've inspired me to pull some out and take some photos.
My brother once had a prized shooter marble. To be ornery, I put it in my mouth and ran from him. He got the last laugh when I swallowed it. Oh my! That HURT!
Lovely photos! They are so pretty. We used to play marbles in the drain cover at school-it had little holes in it and I think you had to get the marbles in them or knock other people's out or something like that!

I've lost few marbles I think they might be under the couch.
As a child I never played the game marbles even though I had some, for me it was all about the pretty colours.

beautiful colors, and I love the imagery picturing children giggling under a mango tree playing marbles :)
