Do you know of any good children's educational websites? Please do let me know in the comments, if you do.

BTW, When Kendalee asked me how many hours ahead of GMT I am (five hours), I thought it would be good to include a clock of some sort on the blog, and after a quick search online, did put one up on the side bar. But that didnt seem to work, as that showed not MY time, but the time on the local computer ... if that makes sense to you.
My question to you is, do you know a (easy) way in which I can display MY time on the blog?

Since I am writing random thoughts and questions here, I might as well say my piece about my followers too. As you will see from the side bar, I seem to have accumulated 31 followers. Thank you to those 31. (And thank you too to those who have not necessaily become public followers, but visit and comment regularly.) I am honoured that you have done so. But some of you have not left any comments or a link back to your site, so it is difficult for me to know who you are and how to find you on this mad blogosphere. I love getting comments (don't we all?) and getting to know the people behind the pictures and the words. So, if you have not left a comment so far, please do so. (I don't bite - promise!)

First things first, love your new header.
And I do have the same issue. Followers I can't follow because when you click on there picture there's no blog attached.
And yes it's great to have comments. But it's a hard job to follow all your followers isn't. I always think I haven't spend enough time to others.
I agree with what you said about children an their viewing time. I can still monitor my Son's time as he is still little - if I dare to challenge my daughter - a world war could start - thanks for the prompt - I am going to be more vigilant.
sorry, I can't help out here as i don't have children.
I don't know if these web sites will be good for your children, but I have a friend who uses the following:

How cute is that q-tip creature?! I just read your post on lists too. I'm a big fan of list-making too. :)
I surely enjoy visiting all the time. Your photos are so refreshing, as is your words.
What a good mother you are! I know of one website that is not necessarily for just children, but has a place for children that is educational in terms of nature. It is http://nwf.org. It is the National Wildlife Federation. In fact my yard is a certified wildlife habitat, due to the various plants and shrubs and water I have for the wildlife, even though I live one block from a busy street, and a bank is going in across the street. They have on their site ways to get children more involved with nature and teach them about it. I think that is great, as kids need to be outdoors more and not in front of the tv! I do think you're right about computers being better, as they must participate and not just watch.

I love that little cotton bud creature!
Sorry, I don't have children, so don't have any useful sites to offer but I'll have a word with my sister and get back to you... :)
we added clocks on the side of the girls' blog (trans-atlantic learning adventures). found it in the layout mode of blogger, add a gadget--within that, you can search and there are several different clock choices. ours works fine..showing central time in the US and central european time. :-)
